MFNW Foundation Annual Projects

Project Care

Project Care is an annual initiative organized by Multifamily NW to support the local community through charitable giving and volunteer efforts. This year's event focuses on collecting donations and providing resources to aid vulnerable populations within the Portland metro area. Participants and sponsors are invited to contribute through various means, including financial donations, in-kind contributions, and volunteering at planned community events. The initiative emphasizes strengthening community bonds and enhancing the support network for those in need, reinforcing Multifamily NW's commitment to giving back and making a positive impact in the regions they serve.

National Rebuild Day in Portland

National Rebuild Day is the flagship event of Rebuilding Together Portland, where volunteers, community leaders, and local businesses come together to repair and renovate homes for low-income families across the city. Held annually, this day of service mobilizes hundreds of volunteers to make significant impacts through critical home repairs, enhancing the safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency of the homes of the elderly, disabled, and families with children. This event not only revitalizes homes but also strengthens community bonds, demonstrating the power of collective action in maintaining affordable housing and supporting the city’s most vulnerable residents.

"Of Hope" Projects in SWV

The Of Hope Project, initiated 15 years ago by the Southern Willamette Valley Council of Multifamily Northwest, began as a single-family home improvement endeavor benefiting a family through the Eugene Relief Nursery. As membership and charitable interest grew, the Service Committee was formed, leading to larger-scale projects such as aiding the Great Days Early Education Center in Cottage Grove. Over the years, partnerships have expanded to include organizations like The Eugene Mission and Habitat of Central Lane. Through annual golf tournaments and member donations, over $500,000 has been invested in community improvements.

Red Cross Blood Drives

Red Cross Blood Drives are critical community events hosted across the nation, where volunteers come together to donate blood and help save lives. These drives are crucial for maintaining a sufficient blood supply to meet emergency and ongoing medical needs. The Red Cross ensures a safe, sterile, and welcoming environment for all donors, providing guidance and support throughout the donation process. Each donation can save up to three lives, making these events a vital part of community health and emergency preparedness. The Red Cross also offers educational resources to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and encourages individuals from all backgrounds to become regular donors.
