Event Details
According to available data, a relatively small percentage of business owners actively engage in the state legislative process, with estimates suggesting that around 10-20% of business owners regularly try to influence legislation at the state level through lobbying, contacting representatives, or participating in advocacy groups. Some causes include lack of familiarity with process, knowing how to engage, resources to leverage and the investment of time needed to be effective.
This program will provide a quick overview of how the Oregon Legislative process works with an emphasis on HR Legislation, the key processes, impacts, implementation and how it affects you as an organization.
Together we will share our experiences in the legislative process, what has gone well and lessons we have learned from those situations that did not go so well. In addition, sharing with each other our best practices and bright ideas on how to engage.
