Webinar: HR Answers - Skills Gap Vs Reskilling
Multifamily NW Welcomes: Deborah Jeffries, HR Answers
Zoom Meeting
Event Details
Every month HR Answers provides programming written specifically for Multifamily NW members. This month's webinar will focus on the Skills Gap Vs Reskilling.
In a McKinsey Global Survey on future workforce needs, nearly nine in ten executives and managers say their organizations either face skill gaps already or expect gaps to develop within the next five years.
Analyzing the skills gap is a way to identify specific skills required to perform a certain task or role within an organization and then compare those skills against the actual skills employees have. By comparing existing skills to those the company needs to remain competitive in the future, organizations can identify the gaps and work to close them,
This program will discuss:
- Reskilling
- Upskilling
- Cross-Skilling
- Newskilling
As more tasks become automated and organizations redesign jobs to encompass different activities, it will be critical to enact strategies that help employees develop the new capabilities needed. This will be a major undertaking. Organizations will prioritize learning and development as they try to close skill gaps. If you have not begun reskilling your employees, this program is a good place to start thinking about it. Also consider understanding which skills you really need, which employees will be first on your list to start training and building training capabilities and partnerships.
The goal of this time together is a discussion. YES, there is sharing of information to help you (especially if this is new to you). We also hope to hear from you about what you are doing in this area….how is it going….what is working (or not) ….what you have learned and what you can share with others.
Facilitator for this program is Deborah Jeffries, SHRM-CP, PHR, CPC, Vice President of HR Answers, Inc., who has over 30 years of human resource experience and decades of teaching interviewing skills to supervisors and human resource professionals.
